Synergy & Alchemy
We live in times of unprecedented change and rapid transformation.
The changes that are taking place, both behind the scenes and in the world at large, are an indication that we are passing out of one era and into a new one. We are witnessing the systems and old limiting structures of the previous millennia’s outdated paradigms crumbling down. As they do, they are giving way to a new time of reassessing what is truly of essence and what must be discarded and replaced by new, innovative, productive, and sustainable solutions. In ancient times, these transformations of our world would have been recognized as an alchemical process that is taking place. That alchemical process is one of purification and transformation that is meant to lift us to a higher and more integral state of existence. What drives this process of transformation forward is Consciousness, both human and divine.
It is more and more common today to see movies, TV programs, books, articles, and so forth attempting to synthesize concepts from modern science with teachings of both eastern and western spirituality. In fact, the movement to bridge seemingly disparate fields seems to be the emerging theme of this new era. We are entering into an era that seeks connection rather than separation, synergy instead of discord, and attempts to put the pieces together into a greater whole in preference to breaking things into individual parts. Alchemically speaking, we are transitioning from an age of separation into an age of integration.
Alchemy is the Key to Bridging Science and Spirituality
Alchemy is the epitome of integrating science, spirituality, and consciousness. It is defined as the art and science of transformation and transmutation, of changing something into something even better. It has applications at many levels including physical, psychological, and spiritual. In essence, Alchemy provides a universal formula whereby we can intentionally act to speed up the evolutionary process of perfecting nature. Through it we can create wonderful results that, by ordinary standards, produce miracles. Its strength comes from the phenomenon of Synergy. Synergy is when two or more forces or components combine to create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.
A fundamental premise of Alchemy is that a Synergy can be created between an individual and an object of his/her focus. The consciousness and state of being of that individual is intertwined with their outer world, and directly impacts the results they see in the world. This is similar to today’s Quantum Physics theory known as the “Observer Effect”. It says the “observer” and the “observed” are entangled and inseparable. The science of Alchemy has been developed, since ancient times, to utilize this entanglement and create a synergistic effect between an individual and their creation. Alchemy thereby gives us the power and ability to make the changes we most need and want in our life and the world, and to do so exponentially faster than ordinary means.
Alchemy involves a truly holistic and integrative approach. Alchemical methods not only account for an individual’s own consciousness and state of being as key variables that influence results, it also considers a number of other subtle influences. For example, Alchemy does not assume that anything in this universe is isolated, nor can it be compartmentalize into a “closed” environment. Instead of trying to ignore the subtle influences of an environment or the universe itself, the alchemical approach seeks to harness subtle energies. Alchemists have made a science out of understanding how such subtle forces can be amplified towards beneficial ends. In so doing, they have truly developed the science of Synergy.
As we venture forward into a dawning era of Synergy and Synthesis, we at EYE-RIS propose that a re-investigation into the ancient ways of the alchemical tradition will help us to unlock the secrets of transformation once more. Through alchemical practices, we can re-discover the methods whereby science, spirituality, and consciousness can once again synergistically work together and enlighten our technological developments. Alchemy may be an ancient and often misunderstood art, but Alchemy reintroduced into the Quantum Age IS the next frontier of science at the Cutting Edge.
